Summary
This page is the California-specific notice required by the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"). RentGuide is operated by Three Bins eCommerce LLC, a Florida limited liability company. For RentGuide's full data practices, see our Privacy Policy.
Opt out of analytics & advertising trackers
RentGuide loads Meta Pixel, Google Analytics 4, and the Google Ads
tag on the public pages so we can understand which content is useful
and build advertising audiences for future campaigns. You can opt
out of all three with one click. The button below sets a cookie on
rentguide.io that our tracker-loading code checks
before firing — once it's set, none of those scripts will load.
Setting persists for one year. If you clear cookies for rentguide.io you'll need to re-apply your preference. You can also manage ad preferences directly with Meta and Google.
Sale vs. sharing of personal information
RentGuide does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We do not operate an ad network on the public site, we don't transmit visitor data to data brokers, and we don't trade your data for anything of value.
However, our use of the Meta Pixel and Google Ads tag for audience-building may be classified as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA/CPRA's broad definition. The Opt out of trackers button above is the one-click way to exercise the right to opt out of such sharing.
Your rights as a California resident
California residents have specific rights with respect to their personal information:
- Right to Know. You can ask us to disclose the categories of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, the business or commercial purpose for collecting it, the categories of third parties with whom we shared it, and the specific pieces of personal information we have on you.
- Right to Delete. You can ask us to delete personal information we hold about you, subject to limited statutory exceptions (for example, to complete a transaction, comply with legal obligations, or detect security incidents).
- Right to Correct. You can ask us to correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing. You can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information at any time via the opt-out button above, by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser, or by blocking third-party cookies. We don't sell personal information for money, but our use of advertising audience pixels may qualify as "sharing" — this control gives you the easy off-switch.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information. We do not collect categories of "sensitive personal information" as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
- Right of Non-Discrimination. We will not deny services, charge a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised any of these rights.
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
The Global Privacy Control is a browser-level signal that tells websites a visitor has opted out of the sale or sharing of their personal information. RentGuide honors the GPC signal. When your browser sends GPC, our tracker-loading code skips the Meta Pixel, Google Analytics 4, and the Google Ads tag for your session — exactly as if you had clicked the opt-out button above. You'll see the same content and use the same features; advertising and analytics scripts will not load.
The opt-out cookie above is independent of GPC. Either one alone is enough to suppress the trackers. Setting both is a safe belt-and-suspenders approach if your browser doesn't always send GPC consistently.
Submitting a request
To submit a Right to Know, Right to Delete, or Right to Correct request, email hello@rentguide.io from the email address you'd like us to use for verification, with the subject line "CCPA Request — [Know / Delete / Correct]". Include enough information for us to identify any data we may have associated with you. Because we do not maintain accounts for public visitors, in practice we typically have only short-lived server logs — see the Privacy Policy for the full list.
We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 days, as required by law. We may extend that period by an additional 45 days for complex requests, with notice to you.
Verifying your identity
To protect your privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before fulfilling a request — for example by confirming details only you would know, or by asking you to respond from an email address associated with prior correspondence. The exact verification steps will depend on the nature of the request and the sensitivity of the information involved.
Authorized agents
You can designate an authorized agent to submit a CCPA request on your behalf. The agent must provide signed, written permission from you authorizing them to act on your behalf, and we may require you to directly verify your own identity with us before fulfilling the request.
Non-discrimination
Exercising any CCPA right will not result in any reduction in the quality, availability, or features of the Site, and we will not charge you a different price for doing so.
